Diet and cardiovascular risk: The effects of intermittent fasting on the systemic and artherial wall inflammation in murine a model of accelerated atherogenesis

      Aim: Obesity and excessive abdominal fat accumulation predispose to Metabolic Syndrome (MS). Intermittent fasting (IF) represents a potential dietary approach to reduce its detrimental effects on metabolic and cardiovascular risk. We aimed to investigate the mechanisms involved in the effects of IF.
