      Objectives: High-density lipoprotein (HDL) particles have anti-atherogenic properties, particularly by promoting cholesterol efflux from macrophages. Associations between Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) and HDL functionality, especially cholesterol efflux capacity, are not well documented.
