The mechanism of statin-induced modulation of vitamin D metabolism

      Objectives: Effect of statins on vitamin D metabolism is controversial. Previously, we have demonstrated that various statins have different effects on 25-(OH)- and 1,25-(OH)2-vitamin D levels (Atherosclerosis 2011; 219: 526-31). Herein, we examined the mechanism of these effects.
