Extra virgin olive oil is associated with a better antiatherosclerotic profile that sunflower oil

      Aim: Extra virgin olive oil is the main component of the Mediterranean diet and seems to have a protective effect against cardiovascular disease. However, the underlying mechanism is still unknown. The aim of this study was analyze the effect of extra virgin olive oil and sunflower oil on the postprandial glycemia and lipid profile in non-obese subjects.
