Cholesterol efflux capacity in young acute coronary syndrome in Malaysia

      Aim: In recent years, patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) are significantly younger. We hypothesized that the capacity of HDL to accept cholesterol from macrophages, via cholesterol efflux capacity (CEC) would serve as a predictor of atherosclerotic disease. Hence, we aim to compare CEC of young ACS to a healthy control cohort.
