Dyslipidemia and cardiovascular risk factors in a sample of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

      Aim: Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D) are at particular risk of cardiovascular disease. Adecuate treatment and normalization of risk factors contributes to improve prognosis. We set out to verify the grade of control of dyslipidaemia and other cardiovascular risk factors in a sample of patients with T2D who attend primary care settings in our region.
